(September 3^rd 2024) – Beginning Monday September 3^rd at 6 a.m., CSX Transportation will close the grade crossing on Morgan Station Road between MD 97 and Hoods Mill Road in Carroll County, Maryland, to make repair. Weather permitting, CSX will re-open the Hoods Mill Road crossing late September 5^th..

CSX is replacing the surface at the railroad crossing and re-paving the railroad approaches.  The signed detour route includes MD 97 and Hoods Mill Road.

Through traffic wishing to travel west or east on Hoods Mill Rd. will be detoured around the crossing using MD 97. Detour signs will be in place to guide drivers around the closing
