The County Commissioners of Carroll County will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. to hear public comments on the Westminster Rescue Mission’s purchase of a residential property, located at 35 N Tannery Road Westminster, MD 21157.  The Westminster Rescue Mission will operate a Recovery Housing Program for women with children. The recovery house will be certified by the State of Maryland’s Department of Health and will adhere to the guidelines set forth in House Bill 1411, titled “Health-Recovery Residences-Certification enacted under Article 11 17 © of the Maryland Constitution, effective October 1, 2016.

The Commissioners may make amendments to the proposal based upon the comments received at the hearing and may do so without further hearing.  Therefore, it is important for interested persons to be present.
