Westminster, MD, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 – The Carroll County Board of Commissioners will host in-person and virtual public hearings on Thursday, November 18, 2021, to gather resident feedback on the proposed residential text amendments and properties considered for residential rezoning as part of the county’s comprehensive rezoning process.   

The first session will be held in person in Room 003 of the County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster Maryland, beginning at 1:00 pm.  The second session is a virtual public hearing and will be live-streamed beginning at 7:00 pm.

The public is encouraged to participate in the public hearings to offer feedback on both the proposed residential text amendments and properties currently being considered for rezoning to residential R-20,000 designation.  

To participate in the virtual session and offer comment, please sign up using the “click here to sign-up” button on the county’s comprehensive rezoning webpage.  Speakers will be called in the order they completed the form and signed up for comment.  Each speaker will have three minutes to speak regarding the comprehensive rezoning effort.

There are several additional ways to submit comments:

  2. Residents can email comments directly to the Carroll County Department of Planning at ccplanning@carrollcountymd.gov.
  3. Comments can also be mailed to the Carroll County Department of Planning, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, MD 21157.

A link to the live stream meeting will be added to the website with a call-in number closer to the dates of the listening session and public hearing.
