Hampstead, MD, 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 3, 2023 – Be advised that a sewer blockage to the main in the vicinity of North Woods Trail was identified by the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities earlier this morning.  The blockage was cleared at approximately 9:00 A.M. The sewer main appears to be functioning normally. 

Approximately 100,000 gallons of wastewater were estimated to be released into the environment.  Site cleanup continues currently.  Be advised that representatives from the Carroll County Health Department and the Maryland Department of the Environment will visit the site as part of a normal inspection protocol for an event such as this.
