Sykesville, MD, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 – Be advised that Carroll County Bureau of Utilities staff and Contractor support responded to water main breaks on Main Street and Springfield Avenue in Sykesville on Monday, June 19th. Water service was restored to the area late Monday evening. Some clean-up work may continue today.

Be advised that a significant amount of water was released during the initial water main breaks and the repair efforts. While water service has been restored, system water may remain somewhat cloudy in some areas at this time.

If you are experiencing cloudy water, please call the Bureau of Utilities at (410) 386-2164 so that additional system flushing can be performed.
