Westminster, MD, Thursday, August 8, 2024 – The Carroll County Government office building located at 225 North Center St., Westminster, MD is currently experiencing a power outage. Staff from the Department of Public Works is working with BGE to determine an estimated time power will be restored.

Due to the outage, some Carroll County operations will be limited. The Board of County Commissioners Open Session scheduled for today, August 8, 2024, at 9:00 am will proceed as planned.  The session will be recorded but not streamed or broadcasted.

 As this situation is fluid, if citizens are planning to visit the building today, it is recommended they call the county office building at, 410-386-2400 for the latest updates.
