WESTMINSTER, MD, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 - On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the Mount Airy Senior and Community Center, located at 703 Ridge Avenue in Mount Airy, will delay its opening until 11 am. The delayed opening is due to an interruption in water service while work is completed to replace the building’s main water valve.

The Carroll County Bureau of Aging and Disabilities will reevaluate by 11 am on the 11th, to determine if the center can reopen.  If the center does reopen, pre-ordered lunch meals will be provided to members. In the event the center does not open, members who ordered meals may receive lunch at any of the other four senior centers, listed below. In that case, we ask members to call ahead and alert the respective center staff. Mount Airy center members are also invited to participate in activities in any of the other four senior centers:

North Carroll Senior Center (410-386-3900)

South Carroll Senior Center (410-386-3700)

Taneytown Senior Center (410-386-2700)

Westminster Senior Center (410-386-3850)

Please contact the Mount Airy Senior Center at 410-386-3960 on Thursday July 11th for an update prior to visiting the Senior Center.  Questions can also be directed to the Bureau of Aging and Disabilities at 410-386-3800.
