The County sets, establishes, and maintains over 1,000 survey control stations within the County's borders. These survey control stations are used by both the County's staff and private surveying companies. All projects requiring County review must be based on one of these survey control stations.

The County is providing interactive maps to access 400 stations on the County's website. Users can find these interactive maps under eServices (GIS Maps), Living Here (Maps on the Web) or following the link below. By clicking on these maps, users can view and print stored information about a particular survey control station.

The interactive maps on the website will be updated periodically as new stations are established or old ones are replaced or revised. The goal is to provide all of the survey control stations on the website by July 2007. Any questions, please call the Survey Division at 410-386-2157 or email at ccsurveys@carrollcountymd.gov.
