Westminster, MD, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 – Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities, together with the Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County’s Healthy Aging Leadership Team and Finksburg Pharmacy, will once again offer Drive-Thru Flu Immunization Clinics at all five senior and community centers.   With a finite supply of vaccines available each day and unknown demand, the event will provide services to as many people as possible on a first-come first-served basis.    

For best protection throughout the flu season, dates and times have been scheduled after October 1st.  Anyone over the age of 9 may visit one of the senior centers on the following dates/times to be immunized:

Monday, October 2nd                   9 am – 11 am
Mt. Airy Senior & Community Center - 703 Ridge Avenue - Mt. Airy, MD

Tuesday, October 3rd        9 am – 11 am
North Carroll Senior & Community Center – 2328 Hanover Pike – Hampstead, MD

Wednesday, October 4th    9 am - 11 am
South Carroll Senior & Community Center – 5928 Mineral Hill Road – Eldersburg, MD

Thursday, October 5th        9 am – 11 am
Taneytown Senior & Community Center – 220 Roberts Mill Road – Taneytown, MD

Friday, October 6th              9 am - 11 am
Westminster Senior & Community Center – 125 Stoner Avenue – Westminster, MD

Drive-Thru Flu Clinic – follow signs and staff instructions upon arrival:

  • Have Medicare and/or insurance cards ready. 
  • All participants will be asked to stay for 15 minutes after the vaccination/booster - to monitor for possible reactions.
  • All participants between the ages of 9 and 17 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

This year both the Regular Quad and High Dose Quad Influenza Vaccine are offered. Both vaccines provide protection against:

  • A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1) pdm09-like virus.
  • A/Darwin/9/2021 (H3N2)-like virus.
  • B/Austria/1359417/2021-like virus (B/Victoria lineage);
  • B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus (B/Yamagata lineage).

Flu Vaccine Billing

  • Medicare Part B accepted. Please bring the new Medicare Card with you.
  • If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, please provide your Part D insurance card for possible coverage.
  • BlueCross Carefirst Medical billing accepted.
  • Private insurance accepted for prescription plans that cover the flu vaccine.
  • Uninsured/Not-Covered patient pays $30.00 for the Regular Quad Influenza Vaccine; $85 for the High-Dose Quad Influenza Vaccine.    CASH OR CHECK ONLY
