The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds(FRF) provide a substantial infusion of resources to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery.

FUNDING OBJECTIVES

Treasury is launching this much-needed relief to:

  • Support urgent COVID-19 response efforts to continue to decrease the spread of the virus and bring the pandemic under control
  • Replace lost revenue for eligible state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments to strengthen support for vital public services and help retain jobs
  • Support immediate economic stabilization for households and businesses
  • Address systemic public health and economic challenges that have contributed to the inequal impact of the pandemic

Eligible Project Types:

  1. Response to COVID
  2. Address the negative economic impact on businesses and individuals
  3. Serve hardest-hit communities and families
  4. Replace lost public sector revenue
  5. Premium pay for essential workers
  6. Invest in necessary water, stormwater, and sewer infrastructure
  7. Invest in necessary broadband infrastructure

Beginning in May 2021, the Board of County Commissioners met regularly to evaluate the County’s plan to utilize SLFRF funding.  The final plan is below:
